Storage period
Unless a more specific storage period is stated in this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you assert a legitimate request for deletion or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g. retention periods under tax or commercial law); in the latter case, deletion will take place once these reasons cease to apply.

Revocation of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.

SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser bar. If SSL/TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Information, deletion and correction
Within the framework of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to correction or deletion of this data. You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us about this at any time. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.
  • If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR, a balancing of your interests and ours must be carried out. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

3. Data Collection on This Website

Cookies
Our website uses so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files and do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (persistent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Persistent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or they are automatically deleted by your web browser.

In some cases, cookies from third-party companies may also be stored on your device when you enter our site (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain services of the third-party company (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).

Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behaviour or to display advertising.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process (necessary cookies), to provide certain functions you have requested (functional cookies, e.g. for the shopping cart function) or to optimise the website (e.g. cookies for measuring the web audience) are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is stated. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies has been requested, the cookies concerned are stored exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); consent can be revoked at any time.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Insofar as cookies from third-party companies or for analysis purposes are used, we will inform you separately about this in this privacy policy and, if necessary, request your consent.

Privacy provisions on the use of Google Maps
We embed the maps of the “Google Maps” service provided by Google LLC. The data processed may include, in particular, users’ IP addresses and location data, which, however, are not collected without their consent (usually given in the settings of their mobile devices). The data may be processed in the USA.

The operating company of the Google Maps component is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA. Further information and Google’s applicable privacy provisions can be found at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

Privacy provisions on the use of Matomo
The controller has integrated the Matomo component on this website. Matomo is an open-source software tool for web analysis. Web analysis is the collection, gathering and evaluation of data on the behaviour of visitors to websites. Among other things, a web analysis tool records data on which website a data subject came to a website from (the so-called referrer), which subpages of the website were accessed, or how often and for how long a subpage was viewed. Web analysis is mainly used to optimise a website and for the cost-benefit analysis of internet advertising.

The software is operated on the controller’s server; the log files, which are sensitive in terms of data protection, are stored exclusively on this server.

The purpose of the Matomo component is to analyse visitor flows on our website. The controller uses the data and information obtained, among other things, to evaluate the use of this website in order to compile online reports showing the activities on our website.

Matomo sets a cookie on the data subject’s information technology system. What cookies are has already been explained above. Setting the cookie enables us to analyse the use of our website. Each time one of the individual pages of this website is accessed, the web browser on the data subject’s information technology system is automatically prompted by the Matomo component to transmit data to our server for the purpose of online analysis. As part of this technical procedure, we obtain knowledge of personal data, such as the data subject’s IP address, which we use, among other things, to trace the origin of visitors and clicks.

The cookie is used to store personal information such as the access time, the location from which access originated and the frequency of visits to our website. Each time you visit our website, this personal data, including the IP address of the internet connection used by the data subject, is transmitted to our server. This personal data is stored by us. We do not pass this personal data on to third parties.

As already described above, the data subject can prevent the setting of cookies by our website at any time by means of a corresponding setting of the web browser used and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Such a setting of the web browser used would also prevent Matomo from setting a cookie on the data subject’s information technology system. In addition, a cookie already set by Matomo can be deleted at any time via a web browser or other software programs.

Furthermore, the data subject has the option of objecting to and preventing the collection of data generated by Matomo relating to the use of this website. To do so, the data subject must activate “Do Not Track” in their browser.

However, with the setting of the opt-out cookie, there is a possibility that the controller’s website may no longer be fully usable by the data subject.

Further information and Matomo’s applicable privacy provisions can be found at https://matomo.org/privacy/.

HubSpot contact form
On our website, we use a contact form provided by HubSpot. The provider is HubSpot Ireland Limited, One Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland (parent company: HubSpot, Inc., 2 Canal Park, Cambridge, MA 02141, USA). The form is embedded in our website via iFrame, i.e. it is loaded directly from HubSpot’s servers.

Nature and scope of processing
If you contact us via the form, we process the following data: name, company, email address, telephone number and the content of your message. Mandatory fields are marked as such. Your details are stored on HubSpot’s servers and used by us to process your enquiry and for any follow-up questions.

As soon as you access a page on which the form is embedded, your browser establishes a connection to HubSpot’s servers. In doing so, technically necessary data is transmitted, in particular your IP address, the date and time of access, browser type and operating system, and the page accessed. HubSpot may also use cookies or similar technologies.

Legal basis
If your enquiry is aimed at the conclusion or performance of a contract, processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Insofar as the form is only loaded after your consent via our cookie banner, processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act). Consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.

Data processing agreement
We have concluded a data processing agreement with HubSpot in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. HubSpot processes your data exclusively in accordance with our instructions.

Data transfer to the USA
A transfer of personal data to the USA cannot be ruled out. HubSpot, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF). The transfer is therefore based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). In addition, HubSpot has agreed to the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). Further information: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/

Storage period
Your data will remain stored until your enquiry has been fully processed and the purpose of storage no longer applies, you request us to delete it, or you revoke your consent. Statutory retention periods, in particular under commercial and tax law, remain unaffected. [Optional: We delete enquiries that do not result in a business relationship after [X months] at the latest.]

Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources. This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website – for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.

Contact form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent. This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this has been requested.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Enquiries by email, telephone or fax
If you contact us by email, telephone or fax, your enquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, enquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. The data you send to us via contact enquiries will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.
